The Grandia series has become a popular one among RPG fans, largely due to its unforgettable characters, adventurous storylines, and most of all, exciting battle system. With Grandia 3 headed our way shortly, gamers can look forward to more of the same. If that’s not enough to get you hyped, this installment in the classic Grandia series will be published by RPG powerhouse, Square Enix!

This time around you’ll take the role of Yuuki, a young man who dreams of flying. Yuuki has idolized pilots ever since he was a wee little boy, and has been struggling to build his own plane ever since. Compelled by the excitement and freedom of soaring through the skies, Yuuki yearns to fly away from the tiny island that he calls home. Another of the game’s main characters is Alfina, a communicator gifted with the ability to speak to the gods. She is hurrying to the temple where she must take the place of her brother, Emelious, who has grown bitter and cruel as a result of his communicator duties. Needless to say, fate will bring Yuuki and Alfina together in an exciting adventure that will have these unlikely heroes saving the world!

The game’s combat promises to be action-packed and exciting, with a semi-real time battle system. There will be multiple auto battle settings, allowing you to dictate the fighting style of your party. You’ll be equipped with powerful aerial combos, allowing you to deal massive amounts of damage and finish off the toughest of foes.

Like the rest of the Grandia series, you won’t have to worry about those pesky random battles. Gamers can freely explore the game’s beautiful environments, using your weapons to stun nearby enemies before you attack. You’ll also need your weapon to destroy objects hindering your way on the field. When not venturing around the field or slaughtering enemies in fast-paced action, you’ll be soaring through the skies by airplane, traveling from destination to destination.

If you’re a fan of the rest of the Grandia series, you’ve got a fairly good idea of what to expect here. Still, this is easily among my most highly anticipated games! Look back to Just RPG in the near future for further Grandia 3 coverage.
